News finally broke today that the long-awaited Brighton & Hove Albion Women’s Team stadium project has been officially confirmed with the tagline ‘Built For Her’. The current aim is for the stadium to be ready for the 2030/31 season. Please see below for an official statement on behalf of SheGulls:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SheGulls would like to pass on our appreciation to Brighton & Hove Albion and everyone who has been involved in driving the ‘Built for Her’ stadium project forward.
We believe the club should remain at the forefront of developing the women’s game, and the prospect of a purpose-built venue for our athletes is both exciting and significant. We recognise this has not been an easy process, but supporters have kept faith and have been rewarded with today’s announcement.
Supporters have always been the heartbeat of Brighton & Hove Albion, and the women’s team fanbase has built an atmosphere and identity that extends far beyond the pitch. This news represents not only an investment in the club’s future, but also a recognition of the passion, loyalty, and dedication of our fans.
We are committed to supporting the club throughout this process. Our group brings experience and knowledge from across the game, including working with the WSL and various architects on women’s football stadium design guidance. A stadium designed to be full of supporters must be shaped by those supporters—meaningful consultation will be key to its success.
With at least four more seasons at Broadfield Stadium in Crawley, this is a crucial period to develop a fanbase that will regularly fill the new stadium from day one. We trust the club is aligned with us on this point and look forward to working with them toward that aim.
ENDS

We will of course bring you all the news we can as this situation develops. This is just the start of a journey, and one which we all have a part in seeing through to the end.
