Match Result: Brighton 6-2 Bristol City

Last time we played our opponents the score ended 7-3, and a four goal victory margin came to fruition once again last night in the League Cup. Just over 700 hardy souls braved the cold weather to watch the Albion dominate a Bristol City team, who put up a fight in the first half, but were ultimately outclassed.

One of the most pleasing aspects of the victory, as well as the team coming through fit and healthy, is that of 6 goals, 5 were scored by different players; Bruna, Rachel McLauchlan, Pauline Bremer, Michelle Agyemang, and Nikita Parris.

Albion now progress to the quarter-finals where they could face any of the three UEFA Champions League participants, who now enter the competition at this phase, as well as Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham, and upcoming FA Cup opponents, Durham. The draw date and time has not yet been confirmed, but the ties are due to be played on either the 22nd or 23rd of January.
