News broke yesterday that head coach Dario Vidosic would be stepping away for a period for private family reasons. The official press release from the club is posted in its entirety below.
As a supporters’ club, as Brighton fans, as human beings, we want to place on record our full support for Dario as he takes care of what has to be his number one priority – his family. Come what may, you are a Seagull now Dario and we never let a Seagull fly alone. When you are ready, if you are ready, we’ll be here.
In the interim we ask that everyone give Chris Roberts and the entire team of staff and players your full support. We still have places to go and teams to defeat this season – starting with Nottingham Forest.
Official statement follows…
DARIO VIDOSIC TAKES PERIOD OF ABSENCE
The club can confirm that women’s first-team head coach Dario Vidosic will take a period of leave for private family reasons.
Assistant head coach Chris Roberts, supported by Arthur Brammer, will take interim charge for the foreseeable future, starting with our FA Cup fixture against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Women’s and girls’ managing director Zoe Johnson said, “As a club, our priority is to support Dario at this difficult time. We ask that his and his family’s privacy is respected.
“Chris and Arthur will have the full backing of the players, staff and the wider club during this interim period.”
