Welcome to the BRAND NEW Brighton and Hove Albion Women’s Team Transfer Tracker!
Click here for access to the Google Doc – TRANSFER TRACKER – and follow along as we rate and rank all the potential additions to the Albion squad during the summer window.
If there are any players you think should be added that have been confirmed by their club or via their own social media to be available – please let us know via one of our many online channels!
Everything should be fairly self explanatory, but I’ll add some context below just in case you want to delve further:
- Pos Need or ‘Positional Need’ is how much the Brighton squad requires a player who can play in this position or positions.
- Age/Sc or ‘Age Score’ is how close to the ‘ideal’ age the player is. As a guide older players will be penalised more heavily as they are close to ending their career, however young or inexperienced players may also score lower. This may fluctuate slightly depending on position.
- Potential is fairly self-explanatory – it is the potential to improve. A player scoring 6 is likely going to stagnate at their current ability level (which could itself be high – see Pos Strgth) whereas a player rated 9 could become a star in the league.
- Versatility is also fairly simple – how many positions can the player occupy, are they useful in multiple positions or better sticking to one?
- Pos Strgth or ‘Positional Strength’ is how good someone is at playing their position or positions. An elite centre back for example might score 10 here, but lower for versatility, whereas a a young forward who can play across the line would likely be rated the opposite way round.
- The total Score is then multiplied by 2, divided by 10 and multiplied again by the Multiplier.
- The Multiplier adds increment of .02 for the following achievements: International Player, League Winner (Last 3 Years), UWCL Winner (Last 3 Years) up to a maximum of .06
- This final figure gives an SG SCORE or SheGulls Score which is how we rank each potential signing.
- BHA Interest will automatically be ‘No’ unless there is at least one media report linking us to the player.
- Outcome will denote the confirmed status of the player (once known) for next season – for example ‘Signed for Barcelona’ or ‘Retired’.
- OOC stands for Out of Contract.
Hopefully this is useful to you all. We’re still waiting on some retained/released lists from certain WSL clubs so I’ll keep this as up to date as possible!
Here’s to an exciting Summer!
