Julie Hemsley – A Life In The Game

We had the immense pleasure of interviewing former Albion player, coach and manager, Julie Hemsley, late last year at The Caxton Arms in Brighton. A club legend yes, but so much more – Julie played for the Lionesses, was later appointed assistant manager to England boss Ted Copeland, and became the first ever woman on the FA Council.

A trailblazer, a pioneer, a life in the game…

This is just Part 1 so please do subscribe to SheGulls on YouTube for additional content coming soon, including more from this interview.

A massive thank you to Julie for taking part and being willing to share so many of her stories from throughout her career. It really was a pleasure.

I also want to think my co-director and producer Joe Sayers for his assistance as well as former players Eileen Bourne and Jo Davis for being there on the day. Brett Mendoza was kind enough to let us use the Caxton Arms to film and I urge you to visit any time you’re in central Brighton to avail of the welcoming atmosphere there.

SheGulls doesn’t exist without support and kindness from the community.
