It was always going to be a challenge for the Albion to defeat an in-form Arsenal side on Wednesday in the League Cup Quarter-Finals, but for 65 minutes they held their own. Unfortunately an error at the back cost them once again, precipitating five minutes of madness during which the Gunners scored twice more, effectively ending Brighton’s chances of progressing in the competition.
