We thought it would be a fun to ask the SheGulls Podcast crew for three bold prediction about the Albion for this upcoming season. Some are difficult, but possible, others may seem like pie in the sky.

We’ll have a more in depth chat about these on an upcoming podcast, and of course revisit them at the end of the campaign, but for now here they are in black and white:

Duncan

• Brighton will score 40 total goals in the WSL this season.
• Brighton will play 4 total games at the Amex.
• Hannah Poulter will start a WSL game.

Claire

• Brighton will finish in the top 4 of the WSL.
• Brighton will beat Manchester United Home & Away.
• Maisie Symonds will score the Official BHAFC-awarded goal of the season.

Joe

• Brighton will win the FA Cup.
• Fran Kirby will win WSL Player of the Season.
• Dario Vidosic will win two Manager of the Month Awards.

Ben

• More than one player will score 10 WSL goals for the Albion.
• One or more of our English youngsters (IE not Kirby or Parris) will make it into the senior England squad.
• The new stadium site will be announced before the final game of the season.

Definitely keep an ear out for the Everton recap podcast where we will dive into the details. For example, 40 goals may not seem a lot, but Albion’s previous best in a WSL campaign is 26, so 40 would be an increase of over 50%.
