Whilst we were tied up with other ‘events’ towards the end of last week, there was some positive contractual news regarding two Albion favourites.

First of all Dejana Stefanovic, our SheGulls Unsung Hero of the Year, put pen to paper on an extension which will keep her at the club for the foreseeable future. The exact length of the extension wasn’t disclosed, but we can assume it will cover at least the upcoming 24/25 season.

In slightly more surprising news, but certainly equally as welcome, the club announced that Charlie Rule had also signed a new deal. Again the length was not disclosed.

We’re glad to see Deckie back as she is such a positive force in the dressing room and despite a really nasty injury, when she has played, there have been glimpses of real quality. Charlie is obviously a very talented player and she showcased her skill and dynamism at the start of the season. She too sadly lost more than half the season to injury, but as a young player with a bright future it’s great to see the club take steps to keep her here.
