Starting the day off with some sizzle, Albion announced that Japanese International and Olympic team member Kiko Seike has signed from WE League Champions Urawa Reds. Terms are undisclosed.
Seike joins with an impressive list of stats from last years’ domestic WEL campaign. Not only was she top goalscorer with 20 (only one other player had double-digits with 11), but she also had the most shots, most key passes, highest xG, highest shot accuracy, and second most assists in the league. You can’t deny if even some of that translates to the WSL what an addition she could be!
There has been speculation as to her best position as she can play all over the pitch, even in defence. Our instinct is, with her level of attacking output, that she will play primarily as a forward for the Albion.
