SheGulls is pleased and proud to announce that our first ever Brighton & Hove Albion Women’s Team fan meet-up will take place 10th August 2024. This is something that has been in the pipeline for a while, but we now feel it is time to share it with you all and start to offer tickets to those who wish to attend.
TICKETS ON SALE NOW – HERE

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THE BELOW IS POTENTIALLY SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL.
UPDATE 1: Former Albion, Arsenal and England forward Angela Taylor-Banks has agreed to be a guest speaker. Angie has 18 England caps and is one of only 9 Arsenal players to score over 100 goals for the women’s team.
UPDATE 2: We have agreed with the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation that they will be one of our charitable beneficiaries for the event. They have also agreed to provide support and expertise on the day.
UPDATE 3: Another fabulous addition to our line-up, former Albion Captain, and Jamaican International, Victoria Williams AKA ‘Trev’, will be appearing!
UPDATE 4: We have officially added a second charitable beneficiary with Women in Sport.
UPDATE 5: We will have a raffle on the day with proceeds going to the Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation. They have kindly provided our star prize – a pair of boots signed by club captain Vicky Losada!
UPDATE 6: We now have an approximate schedule for the event – please see graphic below for details…

Venue: Caxton Arms, 36 North Gardens, Brighton, BN1 3LB
Landlord and well-known Albion fan Brett Mendoza has kindly provided an area in the Caxton Arms for us to use. The pub itself is located between Brighton city center and Brighton Train Station so it is ideally situated for those who live in the area and those travelling for the event.
Date & Time: Saturday 10th August 2024 @ 1pm
This is the week before the Premier League begins on the 17th August and is after both Euro 2024 and Brighton Pride. We acknowledge it won’t suit everybody, but we’ve aimed to avoid as many potential clashes as possible. The exact start time is still to be determined and will be confirmed at a later date.

Tickets: £12.50 – Standard
At least 80% of ticket sales will be divided between our charity partners. SheGulls also commits to donate any of the remaining 20% that remains after costs have been deducted. Ticketing the event both allows us to keep track of numbers and raise money for good causes simultaneously.
Guests: Various – Albion & Women’s Sport
All of your favourite SheGulls contributors will be there, Duncan, Ben & Claire, but don’t let that put you off! We will also have Alice Botting in her role as Her Game Too Ambassador for BHAFC, and ex-Albion women’s player, Fan Advisory Board Member, and absolute legend – Jo Davis. Here’s where things get slightly more speculative. We will likely have representation from one or both of our charity partners, and from an industry body such as the FSA, WiF, PFA or LMA. We have active conversations ongoing with former Albion players and have invited several to attend both officially and unofficially. We are also *hoping* to have a representative from the club – which in an ideal world would be a current Albion player – but as you might appreciate this can’t be confirmed at this stage.

Itinerary: Panel Discussions, Q&A Sessions, Keynote
Our plan is to have two panel discussions, one about Brighton Women’s Team specifically, and the other about Women in Sport more broadly. There should hopefully be time after each to facilitate audience questions. We would like to have a featured keynote speaker, but this is dependant on availability. There should also be plenty of opportunity to mix and mingle with other fans should you wish to do so.
Miscellaneous: AOB
We do plan to have giveaways and maybe even a raffle on the day, but this is dependant on external factors. No guarantees, but we hope!
This is the extent of what we are able to announce at this time, but we will keep everyone updated with developments as they happen. If you have any queries or questions about the event then do use the contact us page to get in touch or hop on over to one of our socials.
