The WSL transfer deadline is 11pm tonight. For the purposes of covering breaking news and having a few laughs along the way – feel free to follow this page for Albion transfer updates throughout the day…

01.00 – Right, after that excitement, I am off to bed. Thank you all for tuning in and putting up with my incoherent rambling! Until the summer, this has been Transfer Deadline Day!
00.46 – Seems to be an interesting signing. Club say forward, a fair bit of the internet says defender, so can maybe play both? Either that or she began her career in defence and has progressed up the field as she developed. Has played for the USWNT before, but conflicting reports on the amount of times and when her most recent cap was – likely before 2020. Gotham fans do seem sad to see her go though, which I always take as a good sign.
00:34 – STOP THE PRESS – I’M AWAKE I’M AWAKE
23.00 – Just doesn’t feel like anything is going to happen sadly. We were allegedly in for Durham forward Poppy Pritchard who chose to go to Manchester City instead, which tracks. I’m heading off to bed shortly.
21:47 – Time to wheel out this classic meme I feel:
18:31 – I’ve been out to view a house, visited some family, jumped back online and….nada, nothing, zip.
16.29 – News on an outgoing, Chelsea Ferguson is off to Lewes on Loan. Best of luck to her for the remainder of the season!
16.05 – Probably not a fantastic sign that dust has begun to settle on my keyboard. I still think something will happen before the deadline, but the chance it’s significant and still somehow going under the radar, seems slim.
14.55 – All quiet on the South-Eastern front…
13.40 – Players who could still be available via loan that I discussed in my Transfer Window piece earlier in the year: Lena Hurtig, Maika Hamano, Lisa Naalsund and Irene Guerrero. There are some injury concerns there, but as far as I am aware nothing long-term. Another name that’s out there is Jelena Cankovic who has been linked to a move, but nothing has transpired yet…
13.23 – Sky Sports talking about Earps and Roebuck. I would be surprised if either of them left at this point, feels like the goalkeeper market will be clearer in the summer.
12.31 – We may not have heard from the Albion, but the people have spoken – Ham sandwich it is!
11.23 – Looks like Chelsea’s Jessie Fleming is off to Portland Thorns and Leah Galton has signed a new 2-year contract at Manchester United – still no Albion news though. In personal news I am deliberating between Ham or Corned Beef sandwich for lunch. Hit me up on X (@SheGulls) to help me decide!
10.48 – Not wishing to temper expectations, but for the Albion to leave their transfer dealings so late, there are obviously other factors at play. Could be a case of waiting for one or two outgoings here or at rival clubs to start the merry-go-round.
09.51 – Emma Sanders has said the following on the BBC feed:
‘Brighton could have a busy day,’ Here’s hoping Emma!
09.05 – Minor heart palpitations as Conti Cup tickets vs Villa were not showing as free to Season Ticket Holders. After a few minutes talking to the club chat, problem sorted and all STH’s should be able to access seats at the correct price. Phew!
PROLOGUE – Just the one player in for the Albion so far this window, goalkeeper Melina Loeck (23) from Kristianstads DFF. Also in goalkeeping news, 18-year-old Comfort Erhabor has signed her first professional deal with the club, so we would appear to be set at the position for a good few seasons to come.
